Make The Girl Dance

I love the originality of Make The Girl Dance videos. They have a real guerrilla filmmaking style which goes for shock, but in a smart, funny manner.

“Kill Me” asks the question, what would you do if you only had eight days to live. According to Make The Girl Dance, it would be take all your money and go to America and live of life of vice and decadence.

“Baby” is a video where three models walk down a Paris street completely naked hold a boom box. What makes this a fun videos is watching the reactions of the people on the sidewalks as the models walk by.

Tritonal In The Studio

I had the wonderful opportunity to interview Tritonal at their studio in Austin, TX.  They gave us a walkthrough on their creative process and talked about how they were formed.  Tritonal has emerged as one of the top American trance acts today.  Their “Air Up There” podcast has thousands of subscribers.  If you love trance, and are into how the music is created then you’ll love this video.

DJ Gollum vs Basslovers United “Narcotic”

Something you don’t need a big idea for a music video to make it fun to watch.  This is a simple video with a trio of musicians, (DJ Gollum, Basslovers United) and two pairs of dancers in a white studio.  The dance, perform, laugh, and sing.  The video’s editing and changes in the song’s pace and composition make the three minutes and twenty seven seconds fly by.  Fun video to watch.

Sidney Sheldon – Riverside

Cute video from Dutch techno artist Sidney Sheldon.  Two video game playing boys are runners for the local mob boss.  They get called on an assignment to deliver a bag of loot.  Little does the boss know the boys have a pair of accomplices who love lollipops.

Jes – Lovesong

Jes built her musical reputation as a vocalist for Tiesto’s trance tracks.  For the past few years, she’s stepped out on her own as a solo performer.  “Lovesong” is about her memories of the best love of her life when she was younger.  The video takes a more of dance rock/crossover slant.

Inna – Deja Vu

Whatever Inna is doing is working.  Deja Vu sounds almost the same as “Hot” and “Love.”  It’s got the same simple synth line, vocal chorus and its a winner in dance clubs all around the world.  The video has three visually catching activities going on.  Inna is aboard a yacht doing a swimsuit photo shoot.  A trio of young and slender girls are the club’s featured dancers, and Bob Taylor is the DJ while Capoeira dancers battle.

Basshunter is one lucky guy. He gets to vacation in Mallorca with his beautiful girlfriend. It’s sunshine during the day and beach party in the nights. Could this be living the life?

Katerine "Treat Me Like A Lady"

The young Belgian beauty, Katerine, is on a film set. She’s doing a retro futuristic theme. There’s only one other guy on the set who tries to get her attention, but she completely ignores him. No problem, he just keeps dancing.

Axwell "Feel The Vibe"

This big hit from Axwell brought the Swedish House Mafia to my attention. It’s an older video, but I still love watching it. A pair of street dancers are practicing their moves on the sidewalks. They take notice of each other and the chemistry starts unfolding. The dancing is amazing and as uplifting as the track moves along.

Chicane & Natasha Bedingfield "Bruised Water"

I’m loving this song these days. In the video, a valiant young man is patiently dedicated to bring a beautiful young lady back to life. There’s a secret he knows about her and it involves water. A glass may help, but he need to find a drowning pool.
